Rita E. (Pierce) Dumont

DRACUT Rita E. (Pierce) Dumont, 72, of Dracut, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 after a brief illness surrounded at her bedside with her loving family. She was the widow of Robert Dumont whom passed away in 2007.

Born February 10, 1937, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Richard, and the late Helen (Moriarty) Pierce, attended St. Patrick's School, and graduated from Lowell High School.
She was born and raised in Lowell and for the past forty five years has resided in Dracut, and was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. She spent most of her time raising her children, later in her life she worked for Wang Labs and Walmart in Hudson. She loved to crochet, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, camping, dancing, and spending time at her summer home in Salisbury.

She is survived by two sons, Robert N. Dumont and his wife, Michelle of Hudson, NH, and Duane M. Dumont and his fiance, Lisa Capone of Nashua, NH; four daughters, Donna M. Chenette and her husband, Ricky of Rochester, NH, Cynthia R. Dumont of Saco, ME, Brenda R. Griffin and her husband, Timothy of Tyngsboro, MA, and Colleen J. Chartier and her husband, Michael of Litchfield, NH; sixteen grandchildren, Derick, Darren, Dianna, Duane, Jennifer, Rebecca, Rita, Heather, Jolene, Bobby, Danny, Emma, Ryan, Andrew, Corey and Kayla; six great grandchildren, Elana, Julie, Raymond, Tosha, Saniyah, and Brielle; three sisters, Winona Allen of Lowell, Helen Quigley of Lowell, and Maureen Couture and her husband, Robert of Lowell; two brothers, James W. Pierce and his wife, Carol of Pelham, NH and Richard Pierce of Lowell; brother and sister in laws, Clair Noel of Dracut, Donald Dumont of Lowell, and Richard Kasilowski of Lowell; many friends, nieces, and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Patricia Kasilowski, sister in law of the late Richard Quigley, Leo Dumont, and Frank Allen
