Mildred E. Lozowski

CHELMSFORD           Mildred E. (Leary) Lozowski, 88, of Chelmsford, died Monday, February 2, 2009, at Westford House after a long illness. She was the widow of the late Edward S. Lozowski.

       A daughter of the late Thomas P. and the late Honora E. (Carey) Leary, she was born February 6, 1920, in Lowell. She was educated at St. Peter's Grammar School and graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1938.

         Formerly of Keene Street and Wilder Street both in Lowell, she made her home in Chelmsford since 1986. She worked for The Hathaway Shirt Company, Raytheon Corporation in Lowell, the Department of Public Welfare in Lawrence, the Parole Board in Boston, and at Fort Devens before working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Rehabilitation Commission as a secretary for more than twenty years prior to her retirement.

      She was active in the former St. Peter’s Sodality where she was a former officer, and a member of the former Keith Hall Mother’s Guild.  A member of the former St. Peter’s Parish and the former Sacred Heart Parish, she was currently a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Chelmsford.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

      She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Boisvert and her partner, Petr Honcu, of Chelmsford, Helena Day and her husband, David, of Manchester, NH, and Susan Fortier and her husband, Michael, of Newmarket, NH; six grandchildren, Stephen Boisvert of Santa Clara, CA, Lisa Cochran and her husband, Patrick, of Manchester, NH, Karen Baldasaro and her husband, Jason, of Manchester, NH, David Day of Manchester, NH, Jason Fortier of Newmarket, NH, and Ronald Fortier currently serving with the United States Army stationed in Georgia; and four great grandchildren, Haliegh Przybyla, Liam Cochran, Zachary Baldasaro and Hannah Baldasaro all of Manchester, NH.

       She was also the sister of the late Dorothy Leary, the late Rita Leary and the late Mary Leary.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON FRIDAY.

ON SATURDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 8 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. MARY’S CHURCH AT 9 A.M..
