Katherine G. Ayers

TYNGSBORO Katherine G. (Dyment) Ayers of Tyngsboro, died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at home after a brief battle with cancer. 

    Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Howard R. Dyment and Leda (Jacques) Dyment. Kathy was employed at Tewksbury State Hospital for 28 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse.


    A woman devoted to her family and many close friends whom she loved dearly. She will be remembered for her kindness and compassion to others and renowned for her capacity to help those in need. She was an avid animal lover and was a longtime member of 4H Climbing Caprines Goat Club of Groton. She enjoyed her trips to Foxwood, Texas, Hampton Beach and Dunkin Donuts.


    In addition to her beloved husband, Danny, she is survived by her devoted daughters, Mendy (Ayers) Hanson of Waco, TX, Monica (Ayers) Salter and husband Jon Salter of Waco, TX, Aleisha (Ayers) Walburn and her husband Brandon Walburn of Tyngsboro, MA. Her God-Son Ethan Ayers of Waco, TX, mother in-law Peggy “Ma” (Kyle) Ayers of Waco, TX, her brother in law, Dennis and Vickie Ayers of Waco, TX and sisters in law, Karen Ayers of Waco, TX, and Barbara Dyment of Lowell, MA, her niece, Lisa (Dyment) Souls of Westerly, RI her nephew Robert J. Dyment of Pearland, TX, six grandchildren, Hayden, Ella, Hailey, Lily, Katie and Danielle and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her Aunt Pauline (Dyment) Silva of Hampton Beach, NH and her Aunt Grace (Dyment) McCallum of Tewksbury, MA.

She was preceded in death by her father in law Robert J. Ayers and her brother in law Daryl L. Ayers.

    You are invited to her celebration of life from 3 until 7, on Tuesday, at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell.  Her funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 7pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers gifts may be made to: Middlesex County 4H at:
