John J. "Buddy" Richardson

LOWELL        John J. "Buddy" Richardson, 85, of Lowell, died after a brief illness Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Barbara E. (Crowther) Richardson, who passed away January 28, 1996.

     Born November 22, 1923, in Lowell, he was a son of the late John, and the late Anna (Rynne) Richardson, attended St. Peter's Grammar School and Keith Academy.

     He resided in the the Lowell area, and was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.  He was employed at Raytheon, in Andover for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and was an avid Red Sox fan. He enjoyed listening to Irish music, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

     He is survived by a daughter, Janet Lozeau and her husband, Donald, of Pelham, NH; a son in law, James Rowntree; three grandchildren, Jenna Rowntree of Nashua, Daniel Lozeau, and Andrea Lozeau, both of Pelham, NH; a brother, Raymond Richardson, of Lowell; two sisters, Ruth Murphy and her husband, William, of Dracut, and Dorothy Lussier, of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

     He was also the father of the late Deborah Rowntree, who passed away in 2007, brother of the late Margaret Baton, Anna Stagnone, Eileen Milinazzo, Marion Simpson and Evelyn Plante.

 

YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS 5 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON TUESDAY.  

ON WEDNESDAY, HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 8:30 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 01852 (978) 458-6816.  

HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. MARGARET'S CHURCH AT 9:30 A.M..
