Henry R. ‘Hank’ Rocha Jr.

"Beloved Brother, Father and Grandfather"

LOWELL Henry R. ‘Hank’ Rocha Jr., 60, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at his home after a long illness.

A son of the late Henry and the late Julia J. (Santos) Rocha, he was born November 15, 1950, in Lowell, and educated in the Lowell Schools. He went on to graduate from ITT Technical School, receiving a degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting.

Hank made his lifelong home in Lowell, and was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and a lifelong member of the Holy Ghost Society. His hobbies included bowling, riding his motorcycle, playing cribbage, and playing golf, but his favorite pasttime was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Rocha worked as an Architectural Draftsman for over ten years before his retirement.

He is survived by his children, Eric B. Rocha of Lowell, Sean B. Rocha of Lowell and Lisa Nash of Lowell; his grandchildren, Victoria Rocha and Phillip Rocha both of Lowell; his Godchildren, Joshua Rocha of Lowell and Diane Monaco of New Hampshire; his brothers, Robert R. Rocha and his wife, Carol, of Lowell, Anthony J. Rocha and his wife, Laura, of Dracut, and John G. Rocha and his wife, Barbara, of Lowell; his sister in law, Mary Rocha of Dracut; his adopted sister, Ann Avila of Lowell; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was also the brother of the late Deacon Richard Rocha.
