Elinor LaPlante Collins
LOWELL Elinor L. (Chapman) Collins, 73, formerly of Wilder Road, Lowell, passed away Wednesday September 3, 2008 at Saints Medical Center with her family by her side.
Born September 24, 1934 in Dresden Maine, she was a daughter of the late Norris and the late Thelma (Murray) Chapman. She grew up and was educated in Maine, and she moved to Lowell at the age of 18.
She worked for GTE Sylvania and then onto Raytheon before she retired. She was a member of IBEW local 1505. She loved the beach, especially Hampton, Salisbury, and Old Orchard, and she also enjoyed going to Casinos.
She is survived by a son Joseph R. LaPlante and his wife Tammy of Dracut, Two daughters Dianne King and her husband Kevin of Lowell, and Kathleen Kermarrec of Winchester. Eight brothers; William Chapman of Farmington, ME, Richard Chapman and his wife Marcia of Connecticut, John Chapman and his wife Diane of Wiscasset ME, Paul Chapman of Dresden, ME, Bruce Chapman and his wife Gail of Richmond, ME, Daniel Chapman and his wife Sandra of Boidion, Maine, Carol Chapman and his wife, Sharon, of Vasselboro, Maine, and Charles Chapman of Wiscasset, Maine; Two sisters; Joyce Morton and her husband Rod of Embden, ME, and Gloria James and her husband Carl of Richmond, ME, Five grandchildren; Michael LaPlante of Lowell, Wayne LaPlante of Dracut, Nicole Rowe of Dracut, James Collins of Winchester, and Kane McGee of Winchster, Three Great Grandchildren; Katelyn LaPlante of Lowell, Brandon LaPlante of Lowell, and Wayne LaPlante of Dracut. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins
She was also the mother of the late Debra LaPlante, and the sister of the late Noris F. "Bud" Chapman, and Phyliss Hall.

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. MARGARET'S CHURCH AT 9:30 A.M..
