Jeronima L. Conde
"Loving Mother and Beloved Sister"
LOWELL Jeronima L. (Conde) Conde, 57, of Lowell, died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Saints Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. She was the widow of the late Dionisio DaSilva Conde.
Born February 7, 1952, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Andre S. and the late Rosa T. (Conde) Conde, and was educated in that area.
She came to the United States with her family in 1975, settling in the Back Central Street Area of Lowell where she made her home until her death. She worked as an assembler in the electronics field for Qualitronics and Wang Laboratories of Lowell, and most recently for April Industries of Hudson, New Hampshire until her illness. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Society and the Holy Trinity Society, and a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing cards.
Her survivors include her daughters, Linda Conde of Lowell, Sandra Rivera of Lowell, and Diane Conde and her husband, Leonardo DeOliveira, of Lowell; grandchildren, Kiara Mendonca, Alexander Dionne and Jeanny DeOliveira all of Lowell; her sisters, Alcinda Silva of Tewksbury, Lionilde Silva and her husband, Manuel, of Tewksbury, and Maria Figueiredo and her husband, Sabino, of Lowell; her mother in law, Maria DaSilva of Portugal; several brothers and sisters in law including Quelminda Conde of Lowell and Andre Conde of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Valdmiro Conde and the late Manuel Conde and sister in law of the late Januario Silva, and the late Manuel and Leonor Fortuna.
Her family would like to offer a special word of thank you to all who cared for her during her illness at Saints Medical Center, Saints Cancer Center and The Blaire House.
