Vivian R. Pacht

LOWELL Vivian R. (Espinola) Pacht, 85, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at D’Youville Senior Care Center. She was the wife of William Pacht with whom she celebrated their Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary this past November.

A daughter of the late Gabriel and the late Mary (Cunha) Espinola, she was born June 2, 1924, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools.

Mrs. Pacht made her lifelong home in Lowell, and was a member of the former St. Peter’s Parish, and a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church. Vivian especially enjoyed raising her family of six and interacting with her grandchildren. Her hobbies were ceramics and painting.

In addition to her husband, William, she is survived by her children, Gerald Pacht and his wife, Elizabeth Delaney, of Chelmsford, Brenda Greathead of Lowell, George Pacht and his wife, Myong, of Newark, CA, Donald Pacht and his wife, Celeste, of Chelmsford, and Susan Giannelli and her husband, Mark, of Wakefield; her four grandchildren, William Pacht and Josh Boyle both of California, and Sarah Pacht and Emily Pacht both of Chelmsford; her brothers, James Espinola and his wife, Joanne, of California, and Robert Espinola of California; her sister in law, Agnes Espinola of Virginia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also the mother of the late Thomas Pacht, sister of the late David Espinola and the late Lillian Anderson, and sister in law of the late Robert Pacht.
