Thomas R. Trask

MILFORD, NH Thomas R. Trask passed into the arms of Our Lord, March 20, 2013, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne M. (Ozella) Trask of Milford, New Hampshire.

Tom was born in Salem, MA, son of the late Thomas and Rose (Richard) Trask. He attended St. Joseph's Boys School and Lowell Technical College, majoring in architect design. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and received an honorable discharge. Tom formerly owned and operated the Andover House of Carpets for thirty years.

Tom was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed attending the New England Patriots Games. He loved golfing with his sons and friends; Bud, Bob, Paul, and the Desrochers brothers. His other hobbies included bowling, eating out, and playing cards. He also enjoyed spending his summers at Alton Bay, NH, with his wife, friends, and children. Tom and his wife also took several vacations and cruises.

He was devoted to his faith and was an active communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Chelmsford for many years before moving to Milford. He was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and was also a member of the Elks in Chelmsford.

Tom was a loving husband, a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Family members include his loving wife, Jeanne; his sons, Robert Trask and his wife, Deborah of Chelmsford, Stephen Trask and his fiance, Gail Buzzotta of Nashua, NH, and Kenneth Trask and his wife, Diane of Hudson, NH; as well as his daughter, Lisa Trask of California; eight grandchildren, Brandon Thomas and Sidney Jeanne of CA, Meghan Smith and her husband, Scot, Sam Trask, Taryn Trask, Jennifer Trask, Allison Jeanne Trask, and Sgt. Andrew Trask of the U.S. Army; and one great grandchild, Violet Christine Smith. He is also survived by his sister in laws, Theresa Duchesne and her husband, Edmond, Mary Daigle and her friend, Richard Wholey, Nancy Gilbert and her husband, Robert, and Anna Cullen of Florida; also several nieces and nephews and his best friend, Paul Dragon.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Pauline Yates and Lorraine Cote; a brother, Richard Trask; and a brother in law, Thomas Cullen. Honoring his wishes he will be cremated.

RELATIVES AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO HIS MEMORIAL VISITATION TUESDAY, MARCH 26, FROM 8 A.M. UNTIL 9:30 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND ST., LOWELL MA 978-458-6816, FOLLOWED BY HIS FUNERAL MASS AT 10 A.M. AT ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH, 115 MIDDLESEX ST., NORTH CHELMSFORD. BURIAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE CONVENIENCE OF THE FAMILY. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS DONATIONS IN TOM'S MEMORY MAY BE MADE TO CATHOLIC TV, P.O. BOX 9196, WATERTOWN, MA 02471.
