Scott Anthony Cappella
LOWELL Scott Anthony Cappella, 40, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly after many years of heart problems, Sunday, April 3, 2016. He leaves behind his wife, Colleen (McCutcheon) Cappella with whom he shared the last 14 years of marriage.
Scott was born on April 17, 1975 and grew up in Lowell and Tewksbury where he attended the area schools, graduating from Shawsheen Valley Technical School. He was raised in foster care and by his grandmother, the late Elizabeth Rollins, whom he loved with all his heart.
He was an outstanding pitcher and loved playing baseball his entire life, from peewee to minor league in Virginia. Scott was a diehard New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Bruins fan. As much as he loved his sports, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Scott also loved music, books, movies, and being at the beach sharing his popsicles with his granddaughter, Jayleen.
He will be missed, remembered, and loved by many. His wife, Colleen, will continue to love him for eternity as he was her best friend, soul mate, and one true love. He was and will always be her light.
In addition to his wife, Colleen Cappella of Lowell, he is survived by his mother, Kathy (Rollins) Cappella; his children, Jennifer Blanchard, Timothy Blanchard Jr. (E-4 US Army), and Christopher Dylan Senior; and grandchildren, Jayleen Blanchard, Savannah Laguerre, and Skylerlee Blanchard. He is also survived by his siblings, James Cappella and Charlene Cappella; his beloved uncle Henry Riccard; his in laws, Cynthia and Johnathan Baron; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Scott was also the grandson of the late Elizabeth Rollins, and father of the late, Crystal Blanchard.
Scott’s final request is that when attending his services, please wear something to symbolize the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, or Boston Bruins.
