Rose R. Costa
LOWELL Rose R. (Zabbo) Costa, 95, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Willow Manor after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Joseph P. Costa.
A daughter of the late Vincent and the late Concetta (DiMaio) Zabbo, she was born December 17, 1918, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools.
She made her lifelong home in Lowell and was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and a former member of the Holy Ghost Society. She worked as an assembler for Chemtech prior to her retirement.
Rose and her late husband, Joe, were well known throughout the City as great dancers. She was also a specialty cook and enjoyed time spent with family at family get togethers. She also enjoyed traveling especially to Rye Beach
She is survived by her brother, Vincent Zabbo of Lowell and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Nison, Angelina Zabbo, Madeline Dinsmore, Angeline Barwick, Louise Clark, Salvatore, Francis, Anello, Anello "Icky" and Victor Zabbo.
