Robert Manuel ‘Bob’ Medina
LOWELL Robert Manuel ‘Bob’ Medina, 35, of Lowell, died Friday, November 21, 2008, at Massachusetts General Hospital after an unexpected battle with cancer. He was the husband of Kelli (McMahon) Medina with whom he celebrated their Eighth Wedding Anniversary this past September.
A son of Virgilio and Maria F. (Espinola) Medina of Lowell, he was born December 10. 1972, in Lowell, and attended the local schools, graduating from Greater Lowell Vocational High School, Class of 1991, and Northern Essex , Class of 1994.
A lifelong Lowell resident, he was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church. He was a member of the winning Mass Pool Team in 2005, and a member of the American Pool Association. He enjoyed playing darts at J.J. Boomers, and was an avid card player, especially enjoying Texas Hold’em Poker. An adventurous outdoorsman, he enjoyed playing soccer when he was younger, camping, and body building.
He worked as a supervisor for Vicor Corporation in Andover for over fifteen years.
Besides his wife, Kelli, and his parents, Virgilio and Maria, he is survived by his Godson and nephew, William Mannisto, whom he raised as a son; his grandmother, Zulmira Espinola; two brothers, Michael Medina and his wife, Kerrianne, of Lowell, and Dennis Medina of Salisbury; his Godfathers, Jose Medina and Rui Medina both of Lowell, his Goddaughter Michaela McMahon-Caruso of Derry, NH. He is also survived by two brothers in law, and a sister in law, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was also the grandson of the late Manuel Medina, Arlindo Espinola, and Francelina Medina, and the son in law of the late Richard P. McMahon.
YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON MONDAY.

ON TUESDAY, HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL (978 OR 800) 458-6816.

HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH AT 10 A.M..

BURIAL IN ST. MARY CEMETERY, TEWKSBURY.
