Paula Peabody
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister

TYNGSBORO          Paula (Banacos) Peabody, 64, of Tyngsboro, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Lowell General Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer with her beloved family by her side.  She was the wife of Melbern L. Peabody, with whom she celebrated their Forty Fifth Wedding Anniversary last year.

       A daughter of the late Nick and the late Constantina (Kalavretinos) Banacos, she was born August 31, 1946, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools graduating from Lowell High School.

        She made her home in Lowell before residing in Tyngsboro for the past thirty years, and was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She enjoyed traveling throughout New England and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved to cook.

          Paula worked as a Real Estate Agent for over thirty years with various agencies including Homes by Sheila, Foster & Foster, Coldwell Banker, Hicks Real Estate and most recently with ReMax Prestige in Groton.

           In addition to her husband, Melbern, she is survived by her daughter, Traci Peabody Olson of Dracut; her son, Mark Peabody and his girlfriend Diana Beverlie of Hudson, NH, her grandchildren, Matthew R. Peabody of Hudson, NH, Kayla A. Peabody of Londonderry, NH, and Jeremy M. Gauthier and Benjamin M. Gauthier both of Dracut; her brother, Peter N. Banacos of Chelmsford; her aunt, Mary Pitsios of Lowell; a Sister in law Judi Peabody Theriault and brother in law Joseph of Hudson, NH and several nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.

       She was also a sister of the late Harry Banacos.

PEABODY YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS 3 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON THURSDAY. ON FRIDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9:30 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.  HER FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT ‘HOLY TRINITY GREEK’ HELLENIC ORTHODOX CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY, 62 LEWIS ST., LOWELL AT 10:30 A.M..  BURIAL IN LOWELL CEMETERY.
