Patricia A. ‘Patti’ (Flanagan) Smith
LOWELL Patricia A. ‘Patti’ (Flanagan) Smith, 58, of Lowell, was called away from her loving family to the arms of God, Monday, January 11, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus. She was the wife of Gary A. Smith with whom she shared her life for 30 years.
She was born on January 29, 1957 in Lowell and was a daughter of the late Francis and the late Anna (Blaha) Flanagan. Patricia grew up in Lowell where she attended the area schools, graduating from Lowell High School.
Patricia resided in the South Lowell section of Lowell and was a communicant of Holy Family Parish. She was employed at the former Price’s bakery in Lowell for many years, before working for Washington Inventory Services. More recently she was employed at Kohl’s before illness forced her retirement. Patricia loved traveling, especially going on cruises and taking trips to Foxwoods with her husband, Gary.
In addition to her husband, Gary A. Smith of Lowell, she is survived by her brothers, Francis ‘Frank’ Flanagan and his wife, Darleen of Tewksbury, Michael Flanagan and his wife, Vickie of Dracut, and Joe Flanagan and his wife, Beth of Litchfield, NH.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews whom she considered her children, Frankie Flanagan and his wife, Ashley, Sgt. Jonathan Flanagan USAF, Amanda Williams and her husband, Mark, Amy Flanagan, Michaela Flanagan, Tanya Flanagan, Brittney Flanagan, Hannah Flanagan, Brianna Flanagan, Abby Flanagan; her great nephew, Jackson Flanagan and her great niece, Payton Flanagan; and her sister in law, Pam Belanger and her family. Patricia was also a friend of Richard and Kim Marks of Chelmsford, and a friend of Bill W.
Patricia’s family would like to thank the staff at Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus, especially the 3rd and 4th floor nurses.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 3 UNTIL 6 P.M. ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 17. ON MONDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL, MA 978-458-6816. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 30 GRAFTON STREET, LOWELL, AT 10 A.M.. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, DONATIONS MAY BE MADE TO HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 30 GRAFTON STREET, LOWELL.
