Joanne Motard
LOWELL Joanne (Cheney) Motard, 55, a longtime Lowell resident, died unexpectedly April 19, 2008 after a brief illness. She was the wife of Leo A. Motard Jr., with whom she celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary last November.
A daughter of the late Robert and the late Lillian (Bialek) Cheney, she was born July 9, 1952, in Methuen, and was educated in the Lowell Schools.
Mrs. Motard was a devoted wife and homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her sisters. She was very fond of the time spent with her husband going for Chinese Food, especially at the Lo Kai, and traveling with him on special occasions to Foxwood's Casino.
In addition to her husband, Leo, she is survived by her son, Joseph R. Motard of New Port Richey, FL; her sisters, Carol A. LaMarche of Lowell, Patricia M. Smith of Manchester, NH, and Deborah Cheney and her boyfriend, Edwin Vazquez, of Lowell; her brother, Robert Cheney Jr., and his girlfriend, Cindy, of Manchester, NH; her sisters in law, Sharon Wallace and her husband, James, of Palm Harbor, FL, Sandra Langlois and her husband, Roland, of New Port Richey, FL, and Shirley Oates and her husband, Roland, of New Port Richey, FL, Patricia Roberge and her husband, Roland, of New Port Richey, FL, Ethel Sweeney and her husband, Norman, of Concord, Theresa Roberge and her husband, Alfred, of Nashua, Leah Dodge and her husband, Michael Sr., of Lowell; brothers in law, Ralph Motard and his wife, Sharon, of New Port Richey, FL, Michael Motard and his wife, Muriel, of Nashua, NH, Raymond Motard and his wife, June, of Manchester, NH, William Motard and his wife, Betsy, of Lowell, and Francis Motard Sr. and his wife, Suzanne, of New Port Richey, FL; and many many nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout New England and Florida.
