Michael W. ‘Mike’ Callery
LOWELL Michael W. ‘Mike’ Callery, 55, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Tufts Medical Center after a courageous three month battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband to Lisa (Crandall) Callery, with whom he would have celebrated their Eighteenth Wedding Anniversary this Monday, May 20.
The son of the late William and the late Mary (Carmody) Callery, he was born November 3, 1957, in Lowell, was educated in the local schools, attending St. Margaret’s Grammar School, graduated from Austin Preparatory School, and later attended Lowell Technological Institute.
He made his lifelong home in the Highlands Section of the City, and was a communicant of St. Margaret Church. He worked as a warehouse manager for Costa Fruit and Produce in Charlestown for more than twenty years.
Michael loved spending time with family, especially with his daughters, Molly Katherine and Delia Rose. He also enjoyed golf, the New England Patriots, karaoke, trivia, Christies Pizza, spending time at the beach, and traveling with his family all over the country.
In addition to his wife, Lisa, and his daughters, Molly Katherine Callery, a student at Greater Lowell Technical High School, and Delia Rose Callery, a student at the Daley Junior High School, he is survived by his sisters, Marianne McArdle and her husband, Thomas, of North Oxford, Susan Karabatsos and her husband, Lewis, of Lowell, and Judith A. Baldwin of Chelmsford; his father in law, Jon Crandall Sr., and his wife, Joan, of Chelmsford; his mother in law, Elaine Crandall of Lowell; his sisters in law, Susan Crandall and her husband, Ed Gascon, of Nashua, NH, Judy McAuliffe and her husband, Sean, of Boylston, Patricia Walsh and her husband, Thomas, of Chelmford, and Wendy Mauriello and her husband, John, of Chelmsford; his brothers in law, Jon Crandall Jr., and his wife, Patti, of Dunstable, and David Crandall and his wife, Noreen, of Dunstable; his aunts and uncles, Thomas and Joyce Carmody of Jacksonville, FL., Dorothy Farley of Hooksett, NH, and Warren Callery of Nashua, NH; and
many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
