“Longtime resident of Bishop Markham Village”

LOWELL May Ellen Blowers, 52, of Lowell, died unexpectedly Friday, December 31, 2010 at Saints Medical Center.

Born May 22, 1958, in Chelsea, she was a daughter of the late James E., and the late Alice I. (Doherty) Blowers. She was raised and educated in the Chelsea area before moving to Lowell with her family.

She has resided in Lowell for the past 30 years, settling in The Bishop Markham Village. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends within the close knit Bishop Markham community. She also enjoyed playing bingo with her family and friends and walks through her neighborhood.

She is survived by her 5 siblings, Jean Davis of Florida, Ruth Beckford of Nashua, NH, Bette L. Burpee of Nashua, NH, Lawrence Beckford and his wife, Patricia, of Florida and James Blowers and his wife, Kathleen, of Pepperell, 14 nieces and nephews. She also survived by close family friends, Shirley Day and her daughters Joyce and Patty all of Lowell.

She was also the sister of the late Phillip Blowers.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 10 A.M. UNTIL 1 P.M. ON THURSDAY, FOLLOWED BY HER FUNERAL SERVICE AT 1 P.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.
