Marie A.’Nan’ Nolin
Considered a Grandmother by all
DRACUT Marie A. ‘Nan’ (Matte) Nolin, 82, of Dracut, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Saints Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Victor Peter Nolin.
A daughter of the late Henry and the late Marie (Brewster) Matte, she was born in Dracut, on October 19, 1928. Growing up she lived in both Dracut and in Charlestown, but since 1952 she has lived in Dracut.
Marie worked for Sanders Associates in Southern New Hampshire as an electronics inspector until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the Family lake house. She earned her nickname of ‘Nan’ because she was like a grandmother to all who knew her. Nan also enjoyed reading and trips to Foxwoods Casino with her friends, and was a dedicated Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her son, Michael Nolin and his wife, Paula, of Dracut; her daughter, Marie Langlois of Dracut; her grandchildren, Robin Langlois, Heidi Langlois, and Brooke Langlois, Lindsay Nolin, Peter Nolin, and Gianna Nolin all of Dracut, and Lee Lavallee and Jesse Lavallee both of Florida; her great granddaughter, Payten McAneney; her sister, Marie Elanore Conroy of Dracut; her sisters in law, Shirley Nolin of Dracut, and Elaine Matte of Ellsworth, NH; her close friends, Mickey Mullen, and Joanne Deschesne; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Edward Matte, the late Marie Thelma Moschella, the late Jerome ‘Buddy’ Matte, and the late Theodore ‘Ted’ Matte.
