Maria G. Tomas
LOWELL Maria G. Tomas "DonaDina", 84, of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 with her daughter by her side. She was the widow of the late Domingos Quaresma who passed away in 1998.
A daughter of the late Antonio G. and the late Maria Tomas, she was born October 26, 1929, in Pico, Azores, Portugal, and was raised and received her early education in Portugal. She then moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with her family and attended Nursing School in Brazil. Nursing was her passion, and she worked in a hospital for over twenty five years. After her grandchildren were born, she and her family relocated to Lowell.
In addition to spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed crocheting.
Her survivors include her daughter, Eduardina Quaresma Silva of Lowell; her grandsons, Pablo Monteiro and his wife, Cristiane, of Florida, and Thiago Quaresma of Lowell; her great grandsons, Jordan and Joshua Monteiro of Florida; and her nephew, Tony Salvado of Lowell and her niece, Natalia Tavares of Tyngsboro.
She was also a sister of the late Antonio G. Tomas, the late Maria Ines Salvado, and the late Francisco G. Tomas
