Louis M. Saab
Attorney, Real Estate Magnate
LOWELL Attorney Louis M. Saab, 80, prominent and respected Attorney and Real Estate magnate, died peacefully in his sleep, Saturday, August 21, 2010, at his Highlands home. He made his lifelong home in Lowell, residing in the Highlands Section of the City for most of that time.
Born December 3, 1929, in Lowell, he was a son of the late Joseph and the late Lottie (Karam) Saab who emigrated from Lebanon to Lowell to give their family a better life. Mr. Saab was educated in the Lowell Schools and graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Degree in Law. He furthered his education attending the New England School of Law in Boston. He also served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
In 1958, he began practicing Law, he immediately took a keen interest in real estate, and became the largest real estate owner in Greater Lowell. He was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Lowell Bar Association, and the Trial Lawyers Association, to name a few, as well as multiple legal fraternities and legal associations throughout the Northeast.
He was a member of St. Margaret’s Parish, and a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. A lifetime member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 662, Walker Rogers, his lifelong hobby was investing in real estate. He also enjoyed spending his summers at his home in Rye Beach, New Hampshire and spending his winters at his home in Pompano Beach, Florida.
His survivors include his sister, Rita Dunlap of Nashua, NH; his brothers, Peter Saab Joseph and Thomas J. Saab and his wife, Mary, all of Lowell; his nieces, Patricia Pashler of DesMoines, IA, Judith Waligora of Laconia, NH, and Teri Parker of New Boston, NH; his nephew, Karam J. Saab of Denver, CO; grand nieces, Amy Waligora, Tracy Cox, and Loni Kustron, and grand nephews, Christopher Pashler, Bryce Pashler and Harley Parker; and the many associates and friends he made throughout his lifetime.
He was also the brother of the late Joseph Saab, and the late John S. Joseph.
