Joseph W. Bue
LOWELL Joseph W. Bue, 86, of Lowell, died Sunday, October 27, 2013, at his home after losing a six year battle with cancer. He was the widower of the late Olga Bue who died May 1975 after Twenty Five years of marriage.
A son of the late Joseph and the late Elizabeth Bue, he was born January 7, 1927 in Lowell, and was educated in the Lowell Schools.
Mr. Bue served with the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict, receiving the Korean Service Medal with four Bronze Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, and the combat Infantry Badge.
Joseph made his lifelong home in Lowell, and was a member of the former Sacred Heart Parish and a communicant of Holy Family Parish. For over fifty years, he was a member of the Lithuanian Club, and a longtime member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, taking walks with his dog, and spending time at the racetrack and at the beach.
Mr. Bue worked for General Electric in Lowell for more than twenty years as a tuber before retiring due to illness in the 1970’s.
He is survived by his children, Michael Bue and his wife, Cynthia, of Oregon, Joseph Bue and his wife, Jocelyn, of Groton, and Marybeth Bue and Leo Garcia of Princeton; his grandchildren, Joseph dominic Bue of Chelmsford, Peter Joseph Bue, serving in the United States Navy, and Anthony Joseph Bue in Military training at Norwich Academy in Vermont; his great grandchildren, Zachary Bue and Dylan Bue; his brothers, William Bue of Lowell, and Anthony Bue of Billerica; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also a brother of the late Stanley Bue, former Lowell Policeman, and the late Jennie Bue.

HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL ST, LOWELL AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY.
