Joseph F. Milinazzo, Jr.

LOWELL Joseph F. Milinazzo, Jr., a lifelong Lowell resident, died unexpectedly, Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was the husband of Emilie (Garthe) Milinazzo, with whom he celebrated their Forty Fourth Wedding Anniversary last month.

Born October 18, 1946, in Lowell, he was a son of the late Joseph F. Milinazzo Sr., and the late Madeline F. (Fritzler) Milinazzo, and was educated in the Lowell Schools.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and also liked fishing, motorcycles, and white water rafting. He worked as Union roofer for Local 33, Roofers Union.

In addition to his wife, Emilie, he is survived by his mother in law, Lillian Garthe of Lowell; his children, Rebecca Milinazzo and her partner, Brian Letendre, of Dracut, Veronica Milinazzo and her partner, Sorlinda Gomez, of Methuen, Joseph F. Milinazzo III and his partner, Kerri Hand, of Lowell, and Melinda Patenaude and her husband, William, of Goffstown, NH; his brother, Michael Milinazzo of Dracut; nine grandchildren, Amanda Milinazzo, Caitlin Letendre, Ryan Letendre, Faith Letendre, and Nathen Letendre, Madison Patenaude, William Patenaude, Jurnie Raschke, and Destiny; a niece, Laurie Carney and her husband, Sean, of Dracut, and Michael Milinazzo and his wife, Kerry, of Arizona; and many friends.

He was also a brother of the late Fred Milinazzo and the late Edward Milinazzo, and brother in law of the late Dorothy Milinazzo.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS 2 UNTIL 5 P.M. ON SUNDAY, DEC 11, AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. ON MONDAY, HIS FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 10 A.M. IN THE FUNERAL HOME. BURIAL IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, DONATIONS MAY BE MADE TO ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL, 262 DANNY THOMAS PLACE, MEMPHIS, TN 38102.
