Joseph Francis ‘Joe’’Joey’ Sullivan

NASHUA, NH Joseph F. Sullivan, 54 of Nashua, NH passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2016. Born November 23, 1961, in Lowell, Massachusetts to his loving parents Joseph L. and Eleanor M. (Ashe) Sullivan, who predecease him. He graduated from the Immaculate Conception School in 1975 and Lowell High School in 1979.
Joe worked extensively in the IT industry and was most proud of his work as an Information Specialist for Fidelity Investments in Boston, MA and in Merrimack , NH, where he was instrumental in the Y2K transition. Throughout his career, he received numerous certificates of recognition and awards for his outstanding knowledge within the field. Joe loved the Red Sox and enjoyed playing baseball and tennis at Shedd Park in Lowell. He also most recently has enjoyed playing guitar and always loved being a great uncle.
Joe valiantly lived and too many times struggled with the effects of Type 1 diabetes. Boston Children's Hospital recently recognized Joe for being one of the longest living kidney donor recipients 36-1/2 years.
He is survived by his sister Kathi Sullivan Agnew of Atkinson, NH, Karen Sullivan and her partner, Jeff Clark, of Arundel, ME, Ellie Eckhoff of Chelmsford, MA, and brother-in-law, David C. Eckhoff of Chelmsford, Mary Beth and her husband, David Hardy, of Greenland, NH, and John Sullivan and his wife Susan of Chelmsford, MA. Joe is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, Tim Agnew and his wife, Kelty, Jennessa Agnew, Andrew, Ethan and Liam Eckhoff, Michaela, Lilly, and Christopher Hardy, and Shane and Ryan Sullivan. Joe is also survived by his loving grand nieces Aurora Agnew and Lexi Auger.


YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS 9 UNTIL 11 A.M. SATURDAY MORNING AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.

 

HIS FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
