Jack F. Gomes
BROCKTON Jack F. Gomes, 87, of Brockton, died after a lengthy illness Monday, May 28, 2018 at Town and Country Nursing Home.
He was born November 25, 1930, in Sao Vincent, Cape Verde, he grew up in Cape Verde. He was a musician, he played Cape Verdian music, he had an entrepreneurial spirit, and would always try to do things himself. He was the head of Christian Nationalism out of Brazil, and a member of the Portuguese Club in Stoughton, and was a member of their marching band. He was very entertaining, had a great smile, and will be missed by many. He worked as a fire boiler for Poloroid for many years.
He is survived by his children, John Gomes, Aristides Gomes, Georgino Gomes, Filipa Gomes, Emanuel Gomes, Catherine Silva, Louis Gomes, Nelly Gomes. His siblings, Fatima Freitas, Daniel Correia
He was the brother of the late Maria Freitas, Alexandrina Freitas, Libano Freitas, Vincent Gomes
