Isaura C. (Reis) Quadros

LOWELL      Isaura C. (Reis) Quadros, 102,  a longtime Lowell resident, died peacefully with her beloved family by her side.  She was the beloved widow of the late Jose Coreia-Reis

     Born September 26, 1915, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, she was raised and educated in that area, moving to the United States in 1975, settling in Lowell.

     A communicant of St. Anthony’s Church, she was also a member of the Portuguese American Center.

     In addition to spending time with her family, which was her favorite past time, she was a wonderful cook and will be remembered for her fabulous meals.  She also enjoyed playing cards, especially, Sueca, and sewing and crocheting.

     Her survivors include her children Mario Q. Reis and his wife, Adriana, of Graciosa, Azores, Sergio M. Reis and his wife, Maria, of Lowell, and Maria J. Anjos and her husband, Manuel of Lowell; her grandchildren, Jose Reis and his wife, Rosanne of Dracut, Catarina Carter and her husband, Vincent, of Pennsylvania, Diogo Reis of Lowell, Nelson Reis of Dracut, Marisa Veiga and her husband, Michael, of Dracut, Anabella Machado and her husband, Luis, of North Hampton, Mario Reis and his wife, Colleen, of Lowell, Rui Reis and his wife, Lindsey, of Lowell, Manuel George Anjos of Lowell, and Luis Anjos of Lowell; her great grandchildren, Kenneth Reis and Alexander Reis, Jacqueline Carter, Samantha Carter, and Lacey Carter, Selena Reis and Kayla Reis, Isaiah Veiga and Iverson Veiga, Demetri Reis and Gavin Reis, and Ava Reis and Luke Reis; her sister, Herminia DeAvila of Lowell; her sister in law, Maria Bettencourt of Lowell and her daughter in law, Maria Amelia Reis of Lowell and many nieces and nephews.

     She was also the mother of the late Luis Reis, and sister of the late Joao, Maria, Manuel, Rosa, Rita, Anthonio, Jose, and Argentino.

     YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON THURSDAY.

ON FRIDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. 

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED FRIDAY AT ST. ANTHONY CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL ST., LOWELL, AT 10 A.M..     BURIAL IN EDSON CEMETERY.
