Isabel Hackett

LOWELL Isabel (Pyne) Hackett, 90, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Willow Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. She was the widow of the late Joseph F. Hackett who died October 1999.

A daughter of the late John H. and the late Josephine M. (McGaughey) Pyne, she was born December 9, 1919, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools, graduating from Lowell High School.

Isabel made her lifelong home in Lowell, and was a communicant of Holy Trinity Polish Church. She retired from Commodore Foods after more than 40 years in 1980. She enjoyed spending time with her family and also enjoyed shopping, reading, and going out to eat.

She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Roberts of Lowell and Debra A. Gorski of Merrimack, NH; her grandchildren, Steven P. Roberts of Lowell, Patricia L. Bower and her husband, Sam, of Hudson, NH, Pamela L. Arshalian and her husband, Richard of Hudson, NH, Julieanne M. Riley and her husband, Mark, of Lowell, and Joseph S. Gorski of Merrimack, NH; her great grandchildren, Jennifer Castiglioni and her husband, Eric, Samantha Abel, Adam Bower, Douglas Bower, Kimberly Bower, Danielle Riley, and Michael Riley; three great great grandchildren, Hailey and Eric Castiglioni and David Palmer; her Godchild, Kathy DaSilva and her husband, John of Lowell, and her nieces and nephews, including, Joseph P. Pyne and his wife, Mary, of Lowell, as well as her grand nieces and grand nephews and her many friends.

She was also a sister of the late John H. Pyne, mother in law of the late Douglas M. Roberts and the late Richard A. Gorski, aunt of the late John J. Pyne, and a life long dear friend of the late June Rynhart.
