Georgia M. Visocchi


LOWELL Georgia M. (Correa) Visocchi, 84, a lifelong Lowell resident, died at her home, Thursday, October 15, after a long illness. She was the widow of the late Augustino P. Visocchi.

A daughter of the late Manuel P. and the late Mary (Picanso) Correa, she was born July 29, 1925, in Lowell and was educated in the local schools, graduating from Lowell High School.

For over fifty years, she made her home on Harrison Street in Lowell before residing with her daughter, Debbie, for the past six years, and was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. Georgia loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grand children, and enjoyed knitting, gardening, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and traveling to the Beach.

She is survived by her children, Joseph J. Gallagher and Sandy Meagher, Ronald K. Gallagher, Sharon Loughran and her husband, Frederick, and Deborah Silva and her husband, Manuel, all of Lowell; her grandchildren, Frederick G. Loughran of Lowell, Jennifer A. Raudelunas and her husband, Christian, of Amherst, NH, Amy C. McKenney and her husband, Francis, of Pelham, NH, and Edward J. Silva and Molly V. Silva both of Lowell; her great grandchildren, Hunter Raudelunas, Hannah Raudelunas, Finley Raudelunas, and Ryland Raudelunas, and Keegan McKenney and Abigail McKenney; her brothers, Daniel R. Correa, Anthony R. Correa, and Edward F. Correa all of Lowell; her in laws, David Driscoll and his wife, Laurette, Joan Driscoll, and Rose Sweeney and her husband, Donald, all of Dracut, Sylvia Allard and her husband, Richard, of Chelmsford, and Charles J. Visocchi of Connecticut; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was the widow of the late Joseph P. Gallagher, and Edward M. Driscoll, and she was the sister in law of the late Constance Correa, Muriel Correa, and Mary Correa.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS 2 UNTIL 6 P.M. ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18. ON MONDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 8 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.
