Genevieve Ann Bancroft Sullivan

LOWELL      Genevieve Ann Bancroft Sullivan passed away peacefully on November 21, one month shy of her 97th birthday. Married for 61 years to her beloved husband, the late Joseph E. Sullivan, Jr., Gen was the daughter of Anna Theresa Bancroft. Born and raised in Lowell, Gen was a graduate of Lowell High School and Lowell Commercial College. She worked as a secretary in the executive offices of the Boston and Maine Railroad at North Station before raising her family.

      She is survived by her children, Joseph III (Virginia), Mary Anna (Joel Epstein), and Ellen (Jim McClutchy), her five grandchildren, Meghan Sullivan (Patrick Belica), Alexandra Epstein (Carter), Briana Radetsky (Alex), Michael Epstein (Elizabeth Pisarik), and Katherine Epstein (Sarah Raab), and her great-grandchildren, Lyra Epstein, Harold Belica and Mabel Radetsky. 

      Gen was a loyal friend and a stalwart of the Lowell community, volunteering countless hours and years to the Immaculate Conception Church, Saints Hospital, and local nursing homes.
