Frank P. Lawrence
"US Navy Veteran, W.R. Grace Executive, Grandfather of Eleven"
LOWELL Frank P. Lawrence, 66, of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Lowell General Hospital. He is survived by his former wife of Chelmsford, Marilyn A. Cullinane.
A son of the late Frank and the late Frances (Keefe) Povilaitis he was born December 11, 1942, in Boston. He grew up in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Saint Mary of the Assumption High School and Boston College, and attended the United States Navy Officer Candidate’s Training School. During the Vietnam War, he served as a Lieutenant Commander with the U. S. Navy.
Frank made his home in Lowell and was National Marketing Manager for W. R. Grace Company with more than twenty five years of service. He was currently employed with the National Parks Service in Lowell. When he wasn’t boating, or watching the Boston Red Sox baseball games, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his former wife, Marilyn, he is survived by four children, Paula S. McInerney and her husband, Stephen, of Lowell, Deborah L. Carpenter and her husband, Jeffrey, of Tyngsboro, Julie E. Paolucci and her husband, Manuel, of Newington, CT, and Todd A. Lawrence and his wife, Katherine, of Waltham; eleven grandchildren, Sara McInerney and Brian McInerney both of Lowell, Kaylin Carpenter and Kevin Carpenter both of Tyngsboro, Zachary Lawrence, Gabriel Paolucci, Elizabeth Paolucci, Rachele Paolucci, and Amanda Paolucci all of Newington, CT, and Charlotte Lawrence and Jameson Lawrence both of Waltham; two sisters, Jeanne Giambro and her husband, Ronald of Brookline, and Susan Mandeville and her husband, Jeff, of East Sandwich; and his nieces and a nephew.

HIS FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11:30 A.M. SATURDAY MORNING AT THE FUNERAL HOME. BURIAL IN LOWELL CEMETERY.
