Elmer Russell Green
HUDSON, NH Elmer Russell Green, 84, of Hudson, New Hampshire, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015, at the Palm Center in Chelmsford after a brief illness. He was the widower of the late Joanne (Gibbons) Green who died in 1993.
A son of the late Chandler R. and the late Mabel (Ernst) Green, he was born June 30, 1931, in Billerica, and was educated in the local schools.
Mr. Green served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
He made his home in Billerica until 1967 when he and Joanne moved with their children to Lowell. In his retirement, in 1992, he moved to Clearwater, Florida.
He worked as a facilities engineer for Shawsheen Technical High School in Billerica until his retirement.
He is survived by his children, Cynthia Green of Hudson, NH, James Green and his wife, Judith, of Lowell, Joseph Green and his wife, Jill, of Hudson, NH, John Green and his wife, Donna, of Hudson, NH, and Jeffery Green of St. Paul, MN; and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Marjorie Gianacopoulos of Chelmsford; as well as many nieces and nephews.
