Elizabeth 'Liza' Guerriero

Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother

LOWELL Elizabeth 'Liza' Guerriero, 78, of Tewksbury, died after a long illness Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Hertiage Nursing Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the dedicated wife of Anthony P. Guerriero with whom they celebrated fifty seven years of mariage this last September.

Born January 12, 1933, in Somerville, she was a daughter of the late Antonio F., and the late Elizabeth (Souza) Castro, attended area schools in Somerville and Cambridge, graduating from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.

She resided in Tewksbury, and was a communicant of St. Dorothy's Church in Wilmington and St. William's Church in Tewksbury. She was employed by the Hood Rubber Company in Watertown and Simons Department Store in Wilmington, then by the ADS Electronic Systems in Wilmington until her retirement. She was a member of the Tewksbury Senior Center and enjoyed ceramics, cooking, bingo, and trips to Foxwoods. She was a kind, compassionate, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed caring for others. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Nursing Care Center for their loving kindness to her during her stay.

Besides her husband, Anthony, she is survived by two sons, Anthony Guerriero and Joseph Guerriero and his wife, Kathy; her siblings, Rosemary Hepp and her husband, Ken, Joseph Castro, Dorothy Menize, Lawrence Castro, and Diane Castro; five grandchildren, Jay Guerriero and his partner, Lee Therrien, LeeAnn Guerriero and her husband, Jerod Griffin, Joseph Guerriero and his wife, Jocelyn, Daniel Guerriero, and Maxine Guerriero; five great grandchildren, Orion, Angel, Jaydon, Zachary, and Desirey; her sister in law Rose Ray of Texas and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also the sister of the late Manny Castro, the late John Castro, the late Tony Castro, the late Albert Castro, the late Alfred Castro, the late George Castro, the late Gabriel Castro, and the late Adam Castro.
