Eileen T. Adie

LOWELL       Eileen T. (Regan) Adie, 91, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Willow Manor Nursing Home after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.     She was the beloved wife of Arthur R. Adie Jr.

     A daughter of the late John Regan and the late Lillian (Therrien) Regan, she was born June 29, 1927, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools, graduating from Lowell High School.   In her younger days, she was Miss Shedd Park.  

     She made her lifelong home in Lowell, and had worked as a Paraprofessional for the Lowell School Department for many years prior to her retirement.  She loved dancing and singing, crocheting & needlepoint.  She enjoyed traveling all over the world, football, and shopping.  Most of all, Eileen loved her family and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her great great grandchild.

     In addition to her husband, Arthur, she is survived by her children, Brenda Hamilton of Lowell, Mary Laferriere of Lowell, Joanne Picanso of Dracut, Coleen Ceci and her husband, Joseph, of Nashua, and Jay Adie of Dracut; her eight grandchildren, Courtney and Kerri Picanso of Dracut, Wendy, Joseph and Heidi Laferriere of Lowell,  Taylor, Anthony and Mathew Ceci of Nashua; her fourteen great grandchildren; her great great grandchild; her sisters, Jean Meehan of Lowell, and Lorraine Antonelli and her husband Henry, of Dracut; as well as many nieces and nephews.

     She was also a sister of the late Raymond Regan and the late Gerald Regan, she was the sister in law of the late Tom Meehan.

      YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON MONDAY.  

ON TUESDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. 

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 30 GRAFTON ST, LOWELL AT 10 A.M.  

MEMORIALS IN HER NAME MAY BE MADE TO THE ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION, 309 WAVERLEY OAKS ROAD, WALTHAM, MA 02452.
