Edson Altair ‘Edinho’ Dos Santos
LOWELL Edson Altair ‘Edinho’ Dos Santos, 54, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Silvia M. (Vieira) Dos Santos.
A son of Altair Dos Santos and Marilene (Domingos) Dos Santos of Brazil, he was born August 18, 1964, in Criciuma, Santa Catarina, Brazil, and was raised and educated in that area. He served with the Brazilian Military before coming to the United States in 1989, settling in Somerville. In 1991, he meet the love of his life, Silvia, and in 1995, they married and eventually settled to make their home in Lowell to raise their family.
Edinho was an avid soccer fan, and was an ardent supporter of Criciuma and Corinthians, and of course the Brazilian National Team. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
For many years, he worked as a general contractor and painter throughout the greater Lowell area.
In addition to his beloved wife, Silvia, he is survived by his sons, Altair ‘Zach’ Dos Santos of Lowell, and the twins, Jonathan Vieira Dos Santos and Jordan Vieira Dos Santos both of Lowell; his siblings, Gislaine, Agnaldo, and Reinaldo; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
