Denis S. Adamowski
Lifelong Lowell Resident

LOWELL Denis S. Adamowski, 67, of Lowell, died after a long illness Monday, August 29, 2011 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born January 21, 1944, in Lowell, he was a son of the late Adam S., and the late Irene (Letendre) Adamowski, attended the local schools, and graduated from Lowell High School before earning his Masters Degree in Education, Computer Science, and Mathematical Science from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He also attended The Berkley(SP) College of Music.

A lifelong Lowell resident, he loved music and was in the bands ‘Howie and the Crystals’ and the ‘Starbursts.’ He enjoyed camping, traveling, reading, playing cards, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist in North Chelmsford. He was employed as a Tax Examiner by the Internal Revenue Service for over ten years before illness forced his retirement.

He is survived by five daughters, Cheril Letourneau of Lowell, Debra Racine of Plaistow, NH, Lisa Lapham and her husband, Charles of Lowell, Tina King and her husband, Robert, of Chelmsford, Denise Adamowski and her fiance, Jason Silva of Lowell; his five daughters’ mother, Eileen Racine of Lowell; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many friends, including Raymond Martin.
