Delfino ‘Delfo’ Rosas
LOWELL Delfino ‘Delfo’ Rosas, 78, a longtime Lowell resident, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Saints Medical Center after a long illness. He was the husband of Antonia (Rodriguez) Rosas.
Born December 24, 1929, in Tlatenchi, Morelos, Mexico, he was a son of the late Manuel and the late Socoro (Hernandez) Rosas. He lived in Mexico with his family until 1973, when he came to the United States, settling first in Denver, Colorado for a year, then moving to Lowell, where in 1975, he met Antonia, fell in love, and married her, making their home in Lowell.
He enjoyed fishing, attending flea markets, going to the park, and was a fan of all types of music. He mostly enjoyed visiting and spending time with his family members and friends and also loved to cook.
Delfo was a very hardworking as a machine operator for Joan Fabrics for more than twenty years always put his best towards his work. He also owned property in Lowell, managing rental property in the Lowell area.
In addition to his wife, Antonia, he is survived by thirteen children, Idalize Rodriguez of Lowell, Kevin Rosas of New York, Lee Rosas of Lowell, Fernando Rosas, Jaime Rosas, and Delfino Rosas Jr., all of Rockford, IL, Hilda Rosas, Rebeca Rosas, Laura Rosas, Esther Rosas, and Socoro Rosas all of Mexico, and Rodolfo Rosas and Victor Rosas both of Denver, CO; twenty five grandchildren; and many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the husband of the late Esther Sarabia Rosas.
