Charles A. Payne
LOWELL Charles A. Payne, 69, of Lowell, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015, at D’Youville Health Care Center after a brief illness.
Born May 8, 1946, in Greenfield, he was a son of Helen Payne of Mt. Dora, Florida and the late George Payne, and was raised and educated in the Greenfield area, graduating from the Pioneer Regional High School in Northfield.
Mr. Payne made his home in Townsend for more than fifteen years before moving to Lowell. He was an avid runner, completing the Boston Marathon in his late forties. He enjoyed playing golf, music, and time spent at the beach.
For more than forty years, he worked as a Commercial Print Sales Representative working mostly for Northeast Offset Printing in Chelmsford as well as for various commercial printing companies throughout the area.
He is survived by is wife, Benta Payne of Lowell; his son, Ken C. Payne and his wife, Milan, of Homes Beach, FL; his daughter Charleen R. Payne of Greenfield; his grandson, Jaden Payne of Homes Beach, FL; his step son, Guilherme Nahara and his step grandson, Daniel Nahara; his sister, Bette Drish of Nova Scotia, Canada; his brother, Ken Payne and his partner, Sandy Maliah, of Millis; a sister in law, Ida Payne of Idaho; his nephews, Eric Payne of Dallas, TX, Derric Payne of Athol, and Travis Payne of Idaho; and his niece, Molly Drish of Bejiing, China.
He was also the brother of the late Stephen Payne, the late Bill Payne, and the late Melinda Payne.
