Celia F. ‘Buddy’ Santos


SALEM, NH Celia F. ‘Buddy’ Santos, 89, died peacefully at her home in Salem, New Hampshire on February 5, 2014. Buddy was born and raised in Lowell, the youngest of the five children of the late George and Evelyn (Bell) Dyer. She was educated in the Lowell Public Schools and was employed by Wakefield Industries in the city, and later by ADS in Wilmington, where she held a supervisory position. She retired in 1985 and moved to Daytona Beach, FL with her lifelong friends, Shirley and Natalie Thomsen, both of Lowell, and resettled with them in Nashua in 1993. For the last four years, she made her home in Salem, NH.
Buddy is predeceased by her two sons, David of Nashua, NH and Paul of Boston, MA; her daughters and sons-in-law, Eileen Guy and her husband, Edward of Methuen, and Kathleen Koch and her husband, Keith of Hampstead, NH and her son, Christopher, of San Francisco, CA. Buddy Santos also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Martha (O'Connor) Santos; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Brad.
YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON MONDAY, FEB. 10. ON TUESDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 10 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. MARGARET CHURCH, 374 STEVENS ST., LOWELL, AT 11 A.M.. BURIAL IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY. MEMORIALS IN HER NAME MAY BE MADE TO THE CHARITY OF YOUR CHOICE.
