Cecile E. Finneral
LOWELL Mrs. Cecile E. (Desharnais) Finneral, 84, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at her home after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of the late Gilbert J. 'Huck' Finneral Jr. who passed away in 2013.
Born February 26, 1932, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and the late Rose M. (Morin) Descharnais, attended St. Jeanne D'Arc Grammar School and graduated from St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Finneral worked as a Group Leader in the Gyro Laboratory for Raytheon Corp in South Lowell for more than sixteen years before retiring. She made lifelong home in Lowell, residing in the Pawtucketville Section of the City for more than thirty two years, and was a communicant of St. Rita Parish. Time spent with her family brought her the most happiness. She also enjoyed crafts and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Karen Scott and her husband, Brian, of Nashua, NH; her three sons, David and his wife, Robin (Butler) Finneral of Nashua, NH, Daniel Finneral of Salem, NH, and Kevin Finneral of Hudson, NH; four grandchildren, Michelle Toupin and Diane Toupin both of Lowell, and Adam and Ashley Scott both of Nashua, NH; her son in law, Michael Toupin of Lowell and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Linda Toupin, and a sister of the late Roland Desharnais, the late Raymond Desharnais, the late Richard Descharnais, and the late Jeannette Hanson, the late Rita Perreault.


YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 10 A.M. UNTIL 1 P.M. ON MONDAY MORNING AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND ST. LOWELL, 978-458-6816.

 

FOLLOWING THE VISITATION HER FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT 1 P.M. A PROCESSION WILL FOLLOW FOR BURIAL AT ST. PATRICK CEMETERY.
