Brenda Annette Lorenzo

LOWELL Brenda Annette (Durant) Lorenzo, 58, of Lowell, died after a two year battle with cancer, Friday, July 19, 2013 at D'Youville Center for Advanced Therapy. She was the wife of Francis M. Lorenzo with whom she would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary August 14, 2013.

Born October 11, 1954 in Wakefield, MA, and she was a daughter of the late William and the late Annette (Hatfield) Durant. She was raised in Wakefield where she attended St. Joseph School, and graduated from Wakefield High School with the class of 1973.

For the last 31 years she has resided in Lowell. She was employed for over 32 years in production and quality control at the Compugraphic/Agfa/Monotype Imaging chain of companies. She has spent the last four years as a Customer Service Representative at Bain Pest Control in Lowell. Brenda enjoyed photography, painting, antiquing, crafting, and cooking. She was constantly attending events in these areas such as the Lowell Folk Festival and the Brimfield Antique Festival. She also enjoyed having a good laugh, a good gin and tonic and vacationing in Maine. She especially enjoyed her most recent vacations to Aruba and a Caribbean cruise, both with some dear friends. Except for taking care of her husband, Frank, her most joyous times were spent doting on her grandniece, Lily.

In addition to her husband, Francis, she is survived by her father and mother in law, Mr. Francis W. and Mrs. Rose A. (Machado) Lorenzo of Lowell; a grandniece, Miss Lillian Pepper and her mother, Mrs. Megan Pepper of Hudson, NH; a brother in law, Mr. Michael Lorenzo and his companion, Miss. Lisa DiMattia of Salisbury, MA; three sisters in law, Mrs. Susan (Lorenzo) Albrecht and her husband, Jack of Dracut, Miss Kathryn Lorenzo and her companion, Mr. Kevin Sullivan of Lowell, and Mrs. Jean (Lorenzo) Vebickas and her husband, Dale of Sauquoit, NY; her nieces and nephews, Michael Lorenzo and his wife, Beth, and their children, Jake and Taylor of Oceanside, CA, Matthew Albrecht and his wife, Emily of North Andover, Amy (Albrecht) Dickey and her husband, Keith of Metarie, LA, Elizabeth, Tori, Bobby, and Ally Anderson of Lowell, Eric, Brian, and Alex Verbickas of Sauquoit, NY, and Lori Kelly of New Mexico. She is also survived by her cousins, Mr. Stephen Hart and his wife, Miriam of Yarmouthport, Mrs. Mary Macaskill and her husband, Alliser, Mrs. Annetta Cripps and her husband, Joe, and Mrs. Catherine Johnson and her husband, Fred all of Nova Scotia, Canada. She is also survived by her extended family here and in Nova Scotia, Canada as well as many close family friends, and her past and present co-workers at Compugraphic/Agfa/Monotype Imagaing and Bain Pest Control.

She was also the sister of the late Sharon Duyon, and aunt of the late Michael Duyon.
