Barbara Ann Stinebiser
Beloved Wife, Mother & Grandmother

LOWELL Barbara Ann (Nestico) Stinebiser, 83, a longtime resident of the Belvidere Section of the City, died November 4, 2012, at Wingate of Lowell with her family by her side after a short illness. She was the wife of CPO James G. Stinebiser, USN (ret), with whom she celebrated their Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary October 18, 2012, at Wingate.

Born in Allston, on August 23, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Domenic and the late Philomena (Verano) Nestico and was a graduate of Brighton High School. She moved to Lowell in 1964, making her home in the Belvidere Section of the City and was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. Mrs. Stinebiser was a medical retiree of the Internal Revenue Service, Andover.

Besides her husband, James, she is survived by two daughers and a son, Madeline Minahan of Andover, Tina Barker and her husband, James, of St. Peters, MO, and Michael G. Stinbiser and his wife, Sarah (Godfrey) of Duxbury; her grandchildren, Kathleen Minahan, John Minahan, and James Minahan of Andover; Rex Barker, Barbara Barker, and Matthew Barker of St. Peters, MO, and Chloe Stinebiser, Eli Stinebiser, and Benjamin Stinebiser of Duxbury; and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was the last surviving member of her family and was predeceased by her siblings, Rose Reynolds, Elizabeth Burke, Ann Whitten, Mary Beltram, Diana Lamontange, Julia Nestico, George Nestico, John Nestico, Albert Nestico, and Francis Nestico. She was also the mother in law of the late John Minahan, U.S. Army, Vietnam Veteran.

The family would also like to thank the staff of both Wingate at Belvidere and Beacon Hospice for their kind and compassionate care over the past few months.
