Anna Maria (Francisco) Collupy

Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother

DRACUT August 11, 2017 was a day of returning home for Mrs. Anna Maria (Francisco) Collupy, whom courageously battled cancer for the past 16 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Douglas Collupy with whom she would have celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary August 23, 2017.

She was born in Lowell on June 16, 1957 and was a daughter of the late Anthony and the late Esther M. (Mulligan) Francisco. Anna Maria was raised in Lowell, where she attended the area schools, graduating from Keith Academy. She then moved on to earn her Bachelors Degree from Fitchburg State College.

She resided in Dracut and was a volunteer at the Dracut Senior Center, where she made some good friends. Recently she enjoyed paint nights and going to the movies. Anna Maria was a dedicated mother, she would do anything for her sons, never missed any of their bowling leagues. Her husband and sons loved her more than she could ever know.

Anna Maria was a teacher for Lowell Public Schools for her entire life. During her career, she taught at many schools including the Laura Lee Elementary School, the Eliot School, the Morey Elementary School, and the Bailey Elementary School.

In addition to her husband, Douglas Collupy of Dracut, she was the doting mother to her three sons, Joshua Collupy, Brad Collupy, and Kile Collupy, all of Dracut. She was also a proud ‘Nannie’ to Payton Collupy of Dracut, and Brady Collupy, whose birth she was looking forward to later this month. She also leaves behind many close and caring friends.

In Anna Maria’s memory in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: Circle Home Health and Hospice Care, 847 Rogers Street #201, Lowell, MA 01852   or to:  Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854   or to: Dracut Senior Center, 951 Mammoth Road, Dracut, MA 01826.
