Ann Teresa MacDonald

LOWELL Ann Teresa (McLaughlin) MacDonald, 55, of Lowell, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill after a brief battle with cancer. Born October 18, 1964, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Raymond H. and the late Sara A. (Rynne) McLaughlin. She was raised and educated in the Lowell school system, and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Regional High School, Class of 1984.

Ann enjoyed taking walks, and spending time at the beach. She also loved swimming, and was known to be the first in the water. Ann was a gifted seamstress, who used her talent to create beautiful dresses for her daughters. Ann had a great sense of humor and an infectious smile. She had a great love for animals that began in childhood and stayed with her throughout her life. Ann will mostly be remembered for the love and enjoyment she got from her children and grandchildren. Raising her family, and watching her grandchildren grow and thrive was her greatest joy in life.

She is survived by her son, Scott MacDonald Jr. and his wife, Sara, of Sanford, ME, and her daughters, Michelle MacDonald and her fiancé, Evan Caples, of Sanford, ME and LeeAnn Nugent and her husband, Matt, of Hollis, ME. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Lillian, Callahan, Ella, Aileen, Duncan and Parker. Her siblings, John McLaughlin of Lowell and James McLaughlin and his wife, Karen, of North Andover, Susan Watson and her husband the late Donald, of Windham, NH, Joseph McLaughlin and his wife, Joan, of Dracut, William McLaughlin of Billerica, Catherine Pollard and her husband, Sean, of Methuen, Marguerite McLaughlin of Lowell and Thomas McLaughlin of Dracut. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a close family friend & caretaker, Shola Ojudun, from LifeLinks.

Due to the MA State Regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced on the funeral home’s website and FaceBook page.

ANN’S FUNERAL, INCLUDING BURIAL AT WESTLAWN CEMETERY WILL BE HELD PRIVATELY FROM THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.
