Angelina P. Kaczmarski
LOWELL Angelina P. (Yannece) Kaczmarski, 92, of Lowell, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John P. Kaczmarski who passed away in 1994.
A daughter of the late Nicholas and the late Mary (Ruggiero) Yannece, she was born March 14, 1922, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools graduating from the Morey Junior High School.
She married the love of her life, John P. Kaczmarski, on November 7, 1948 with whom she shared forty five years of marriage until his death in 1994. She was grateful and proud of the square named in his honor at the corner of Varnum Avenue and Old Ferry Road in Pawtucketville.
She made her lifelong home in the Pawtucketville Section of the City, and was a communicant of St. Rita’s Church for more than sixty years. Angelina and her husband, John, founded the Pawtucketville Citizens Council where she was active for many years and in 2013, she was honored with an award at a dinner in gratitude for their service to the Council.
Angelina’s family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Leahy Clinic in Burlington, Lowell General Hospital, and D’Youville Rehabilitation Center for all their excellent help in caring for Angelina. A very special thank you is bestowed upon Dr. Eric Ewald and the staff of Merrimack Valley Cardiology as well as the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice of Greater Lowell, and Elder Services in Lawrence for their loving care and compassion.
Her survivors include her children, Dr. Mary Ann Kaczmarski and her husband, Jerry Freeman, of Los Angeles, CA, Phyllis Kaczmarski and Angelina's only granddaughter, Kym Dyberg of Seattle, WA and Phyllis' companion, Michael Jackson, of Olympia, WA, and Karen Kaczmarski of Lowell; a sister in law, Stella Primeau of Tyngsboro; her beloved Jack Russell Terrior, Chandler; and a loving companion of her brother, Anthony, Claire Lucas of Chelmsford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a sister of the late Philomena Yannece, the late Anthony Yannece and his late wife, Fleurette (Dubois) Yannece, the late Vito Yannece and his late wife, Esther (Fawcett) Yannece, and she was the sister in law of the late Peter Volonino, the late Josephine (Volonino) Desmarais, the late John Desmarais, the late William Kolek, the late Catherine Kolek, and the late William Primeau.
